Jesse and Luka don’t have to let “tax stuff” take up valuable mental real estate, or time in their busy schedules.

We don’t even want to pretend we know what we are doing when it comes to tax time, finances or BAS - show us a spreadsheet and our eyes just glaze over! Jesse still doesn’t even know how to forward an email…

We love that by using Kindred Accounting, we can trust that they have not only our businesses, but also our families best interests at heart to prosper and grow - and that as hard as Andrew and the team might try to explain things to us, we can keep our eyes glazed and just focus on what we are good at!

- Jesse & Luka

The challenge of running multiple businesses

Jesse and Luka McCabe have a busy and active household, with multiple businesses and 3 young kids. Jesse is the man behind McCabe Building offering a range of building and renovation services. As is typical with trades businesses Jesse is on the tools and Luka helps out with the books. Luka is a successful author and manages Boob to Food, a business that provides parents with ideas to help guide, inspire and nourish their babies. The demands of running multiple businesses and a busy family are never ending! Between the two businesses, they had somewhere near 14 deadlines to meet and forms to lodge with the government each year just to stay compliant - not to mention worrying about making a profit and whether or not they were paying too much tax.

While the McCabe’s love what they do, what they want more than anything is to have the freedom to take off in their van with their kids and hit the beach with their friends. What they needed was time.

Teamwork makes the dream work

When Jesse and Luka came to Kindred Accounting, we put together a plan specific for their needs, to take care of all the tax and compliance lodgements throughout each year. This is now effectively on auto-pilot.

Over the years their businesses have had ups and downs - their needs have changed and we’re on the journey with them, adapting as the seasons demand. Being on the journey together means we’re available to give them the advice they need, when they need it, to make changes and restructure their affairs, to save tax or protect themselves from the risks of doing business.

They know we’ll be on the front foot - taking the right steps to make sure everything is lodged on time so they can plan their cash flow and stay out of the ATO’s audit spotlight.
